When words take form

If we were to summarize our typography posters in a few words, we’d say: thoughtful, playful, and concept-driven. Our central focus whenever we start creating design is to choose a message worth carrying through—either something so deeply embedded in our day-to-day lives that people have started looking at it mechanically, a social issue where certain people struggle to find space in the world, or an existential thought. Yes, design can be pretty, vibrant, and decorative, but we want our work to go a few steps further: to get people to see something from a different angle, or even question something that never occurred to them before. We try to achieve all that in a playful, colorful way because we value moving through life with love, care, and compassion, and hope our designs, especially typography can reflect those values. Ultimately, the aim is to create work that encourages people emotionally and carries a sense of love and compassion.

‘OM’  "I learned this prayer while practicing yoga and related deeply to its universal message and purity. It reminded me of when I was a kid and my innocent mind came up with a similar prayer that I used to say every night before falling asleep. I wished for myself to be well, then my family, then all humanity, then all living beings, and finally the entire universe. All of this is included and summarized by the Sanskrit word sarve, meaning "all living beings." Although this prayer is associated with a particular culture, it is so universal and overflowing with love and selflessness that we wanted to share it with others. That is why we added the translation as well, so anyone can understand what is being shared." — Alma Kamal

‘Ghosts’  This poster summarizes the focal point of an event. Whether you call it Halloween or something else in a different culture, it is an ancient ritual centered on ghosts—those loved ones who have departed. This poster is an example of how you can sometimes say so much with very little, or even with just one word. The word itself, along with the visual portrayal and the colors, puts the audience in a certain mood. The complementary yet uncommon colors create an energetic, yet cozy and friendly atmosphere. Rather than inviting fear, the poster invites curiosity and communion.

‘un/divided’  This carries a vital message because we are so conditioned into narrow, specific roles that create so much misery and suffering for everyone involved—both those who do the conditioning and those who are conditioned. It is a reminder of our true nature, a gentle nudge out of the coffins we have created for ourselves as humanity.

‘At the End of the Day’  This poster was inspired by the common phrase, "At the end of the day, it is what it is." We wanted to transform something so mundane into an existential message of Oneness. It offers a way for us to relate to one another by starting from a point that is familiar to everyone and taking it somewhere deeper. Words can only be so powerful unless we go beyond them. We are often so habituated that we simply parrot sentences, behaviors, and thought patterns. Through art, our aim is to invite the viewer to pause, pay attention, perhaps smile, experience an "aha" moment, or shift toward a more positive perspective.

‘You Belong’  This poster uses intersecting forms to express closeness, difference, and shared space. It explores the idea that belonging does not require sameness, but rather the willingness to coexist while making room for one another. Through its composition and visual relationships, it communicates connection, inclusion, and the beauty of sharing space despite our differences.

Having said all that, in the space of graphic design, typography is, for us, where much of the magic happens. We believe that the more fluently a designer works with type, the more impactful the work can become. Like a poet whose medium is words, a designer's medium is typography—the ability to create visual contrast, unexpected compositions, and to play with letterforms as shapes. That is why we always try to pay attention and keep learning, so we can express ourselves to our fullest potential.

Although each poster has a different message, typeface, color palette, and composition, each one is a study of the many ways a message can be shared. Together, these posters are united by the way they are deep yet playful, kind yet inquisitive, and by the way they invite the viewer into a quiet moment of contemplation.
